As kids most of us didn’t like our mommies when she asked us not to go out in the rain.
We just wanted to go splash into the dirty water, feel every drop of the rain and smile looking at the rainbows. We created a small dream world in our minds, thinking that no one would stop us for getting wet in the rain once we grow up.
So, now that we have grown up, who is stopping us from splashing in the rain water and dancing to the tune of the raindrops?
Sadly it is the numerous shackles that we have put on ourselves that are forbidding us from being happy.
The shackles of ‘etiquettes’ – what will others think if they see me dancing in the rains, the fetters of ‘worry’ – what if I fall sick, I will have to miss office, and endless more reasons that unnecessarily stop us from enjoying the moments we thought we would once we grow up.
Get up, break all barriers, free yourself, run, splash, dance in the rain as if no one is watching. Let that little innocent being awaken within you who found happiness in the smallest of things in life!
